James Curran

James P. Curran, AIF®

In 1996, James P. Curran co-founded the firm of Curran & Lewis Investment Management, Inc. and serves as president and chief portfolio manager. Today, the firm manages more than $200 million in assets and has been recognized by Bloomberg’s Wealth Manager magazine as one of the Top 500 wealth management companies in the United States. Jim began his career in the financial services industry in 1981 as an account executive with Judy and Robinson Securities in Menlo Park. In 1983, he was promoted to branch manager of the firm’s San Jose office. Jim specializes in working with high-net-worth individual investors and executives of high-tech corporations. Over the past 30 years, Jim has conducted financial workshops for several major corporations and the California Franchise Tax Board. In addition, he teaches investment and financial planning classes through the California Community College campuses. Jim’s expertise is in the construction of investment strategies that employ multiple asset classes to lower investment risk while enhancing returns; this in turn has earned him the privilege of maintaining long-term relationships with clients. Jim is the proud father of two accomplished daughters. He actively participates in fund-raising efforts on behalf of women’s education and supports athletic programs at their current and former institutions. During the Vietnam War, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. As a first- generation citizen from Dublin, Ireland, he has an unwavering faith in the principle that free markets offer the most genuine opportunity for building and maintaining wealth for anyone who cares to participate. In his spare time, Jim loves a great round of golf.

 

Deborah Peri

Deborah A. Peri, CFP®

Deborah A. Peri, CFP®, joined Curran & Lewis Investment Management, Inc. in 2005 and serves as vice president. She works with individual investors in areas including portfolio analysis, investment management, and retirement planning. After college, Debbie joined Ernst & Young LLP as an auditor and consultant, and received her CPA credentials there. She later joined the consulting division of a local CPA firm, where she earned her securities licenses and expanded the firm’s investment division. In 2002, Debbie joined the private client services division of Wells Fargo Investments, serving high net worth investors.  A passionate investor for more than 16 years, she is a published investment writer and has lectured at the college level. Debbie attended the University of Arizona, where she was inducted into the National College Senior Honor Society Mortar Board. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in business administration (BSBA) degree in accounting.  Debbie bikes to work whenever she can and enjoys running, hiking, yoga and spending time with her three children.
